Terms of service

These Terms of Service apply to apolidetravel.com, our travel guides, the Apolide Journal and our newsletter. They are offered by Apolide Travel LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“Apolide”, “we”, “us”). By using the site or buying from us, you agree to these terms.
Travel guides
Our guides are digital PDF files. You can download them as soon as payment goes through, and they stay in your account library.
When you buy a guide, you receive a personal, non-transferable licence to read it and print it for your own travel. Please do not share, forward, resell, upload or copy a guide, in whole or in part. All rights in the guides stay with Apolide.
Accuracy
Our guides and Journal articles reflect our own experience and research at the time of writing. Restaurants close, hotels change hands and prices move, so please confirm details such as opening hours, prices and availability before you travel. We are not responsible for changes made by the places we write about.
Concierge services
Trip planning, bookings, celebrations and other concierge services are arranged under a separate written agreement with each client, which sets out the scope, fees and cancellation terms for that engagement.
When we book hotels, flights, restaurants, yacht charters, transfers or other services for you, we act on your behalf with independent suppliers. Each supplier’s own terms, deposits and cancellation rules apply to its service. We are not liable for the acts, omissions or failures of those suppliers.
Orders and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed securely through Shopify. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if a product is listed with an error, and we will refund any payment in that case.
Your account
You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address. Please keep access to that email secure, as anyone who can read it can sign in to your account.
Our content
The text, photographs, design and branding on this site belong to Apolide or are used with permission. You may share links to our pages, but you may not copy or reuse our content without our written consent.
Links to other sites
We link to hotels, restaurants and other third-party websites for your convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or practices.
Limitation of liability
Our site and guides are provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, Apolide is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site, our guides or our recommendations. Our total liability for any purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page, with its date at the top, is the one that applies.
